Mother's Shoes |

| Mary – Sue, a daughter of my grandfather’s nurse,
is a very active and smart girl. Last year she graduated from University.
And now she is a journalist. But because of lack of money she couldn’t
dress as she wanted. She looked ordinary and a little bit out of fashion.
Sometimes she wore clothes of her mother or her elder sister Susan. Once she had an audition in one modern and famous magazine. She was dressed in black trousers, some sweater, with a bag, which looked like letter carrier's bag and her mother’s nursing shoes. She had to wear such footwear, because her trainers were stolen by neighbor’s dog, when they were drying on the yard. This dog always steals some thing and then when his owners find something unfamiliar in their house, they know that it may belong to one of their neighbor. Everybody in the magazine’s office was impressed of her looking, but Mary – Sue never felt embarrassed or shame of her appearance. She is very smart and hard worker. She had already several published work in some newspapers. And she was the editor – in – chief in her University. There was liked her résumé very much and she was taken on the staff. And they didn’t regret of their decision. Because they saw that she is a real workaholic and besides she writes good articles. And her column began print on the front page. And she began to receive a very good salary. She bought fashionable clothes not only for her, but also for mother and sister. And she has never worn that footwear – mother’s nursing shoes again. |
